This Saturday Day School at the Dorset County Museum, Dorchester, is intended to provide an introduction to some of the themes in the study of the transport and communications in and outside of the county. The lectures will include recent research on the turnpike roads, the carrier system, communications, the coming of the railways, and shipping.
